Video/Micro Learnings
Video trainings can be most useful for visual learners. The concept of micro-learnings is to focus on a specific task and keep the learning to a maximum of 10 minutes. Often times these learnings are useful when there is a plethora of information already available to the learner, and these trainings can pull out specific tasks that will be relevant to the learner.
The example below is a short video showing how to create a folder. A group of micro-learnings can be used to create a collection of learnings on a larger topic and the learner can access and refer back to the specific training that is needed.

This next example is an animated video that draws the highlights of Bloomsburg University's Masters of Instructional Technology to the attention of the learner. In less than 5 minutes, they will learn the benefits, different career paths, and the application process. When paired with text documentation these short videos can again pull out the information that is needed and the user can dive into deeper explanations within the text.
